Description of Work: Provide Quality Control Management to construct a 36,700 square foot building consisting of a steel frame with metal stud walls, exterior metal panels, standing seam and flat roofs, storefront and windows, site work, associated utility work, sediment and erosion control, and stormwater management. The project will include an emergency power generator backup for the facility; geothermal mechanical system, LED lighting, and automated HVAC controls. The building will be constructed to obtain LEED certified Silver Rating in accordance with USGBC LEED certification. Construction will be located on a 15-acre site at Ft. Carson, Colorado. Optional items of the contract will include: 6,615 SF west end of the facility; 3,096 sf unheated storage building; concrete pavers on satellite patio; three interior overhead doors at the assembly hall; operable partition, cabinets, and countertops in the classrooms; additional 2″ asphalt surface course on POV lot; landscaping; front entry patio, wall and sign; MDF wainscoting wall panels; and two high volume, low-speed ventilation fans in the entry hall.
