Water Distribution System Construction Project

Description of Work:
This project will conduct repairs on the South Area Water Distribution. These repairs will include the removal and replacement of unreliable valves, installation of new valves for isolation, removal and replacement of piping system and removal and replacement of unreliable fire hydrants.

Description of Work:
Construction of a new pre-engineered metal administration building approximately 7,800 square feet at Fort Saint Vrain in Platteville, Colorado. The contractor to provide all personnel, facilities, equipment, material, supplies and services to construction the building and furnishes per the SOW. The Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office ( DOE-ID) is replacing the aging administration office trailers with a new administration office building that shall house administrative offices and a staging/training area for guard force and professional staff.

Fire and Asbestos Remediation Services

Contract: Fire Remediation Services – Phase B

Description of Work:
On March 24, 2018 building 576 on PCD was completely consumed by fire. The square footage of the building is approximately 92,000 square feet. This building was constructed in the 1940s and consist of Type IV heavy timber construction with wood exterior walls, flat roofs and a brick fire wall separating the two sides of the building. Initial remediation efforts have been completed by a previous contract, and a tar like substance was discovered adhering to the concrete foundations. It is assumed that this tar like substance is the result of shingles and other building materials melting at high temperature during the fire. CDPHE determined that this substance trapped asbestos fibers as it was cooling and will need additional remediation. In addition, the asphalt surrounding the concrete slab contains low levels of asbestos. In Phase B, Beckrich Construction shall remediate the concrete slab totaling 49,595 CF and asphalt totaling 1,090 CF associated with building 576.

IDIQ is a U.S. federal government contracting acronym meaning indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity. This is a type of contract that provides for an indefinite quantity of supplies or services during a fixed period of time. The government places delivery orders or task orders against a basic contract for individual requirements.

Task order types range from valve and hydrant projects, concrete rehabilitation, roof and door replacements to complete building renovations.
