Client: The Broadmoor
Contract: Seven Falls Restaurant 1858 and Gift Shop at Seven Falls
Contract Period: September 2014 – August 2015
Contract Value: $3,700,000
Description of Work Performed:
Seven Falls entrusted Beckrick Construction with their historic restaurant construction. The project involved taking the existing gift shop and snack building down to exterior walls and then adding back to the same, which became the Restaurant 1858 . The new restaurant has seating capacity for 100 guests. The entire structure is fortified and re-built in the spirit of Colorado’s history, including the added outdoor seating and outdoor bar area.
The restaurant construction’s site, now featuring the “Seven” Falls, has become “Eleven” Falls by adding a second pumping system and four additional rock structure falls. The existing trout ponds have been reshaped while adding to the water surface areas. A new elevator assembly replaced the existing elevator. The existing small outpost building was converted into the new gift shop and it’s footprint and roofline was modified and added to as well. New roadway infrastructure was added to support comm/data and secondary power from the main entrance through the canyon to the base of the new restaurant. The restaurant construction project also included building a 2.5-mile long meandering pedestrian path that has over 200’ of cantilevered structure that hangs over portions of the creek. The pedestrian path includes new lighting and heavy wood type structure accents.
